NamNam Noodle Bar, a casual restaurant spin‐off from the Les Amis Group's Annam Vietnamese Cuisine officially opened on 15 October 2012. The new quick‐service noodle bar chain located in the basement level of Raffles City Shopping Centre is the first of two outlets opening this year.
Owner Chef and Director Nam Quoc Nguyen designed the menu to be one that is simple, healthy, and gentle on the wallet as to make Vietnamese street food accessible and affordable for everyone.
The causal Vietnamese noodle bar will feature 11 bowls of Vietnamese noodles, Pho. All noodles are
priced between S$7.90 and S$13.90. Apart from noodles, NamNam Noodle Bar serves the French inspired savoury baguettes also known as banh mi.
The 80‐seater restaurant featuring a collage of old Vietnamese newspaper cutting wallpaper and enamel cups will add to the vintage atmosphere and touch of the whole concept. The warm yet chic interior furnishing brings out the flavour of Vietnam and its rich culture. Guests can expect to immerse in the old world charm of NamNam Noodle Bar when it is replicated in the next NamNam Noodle Bar outlet opening at Wheelock Place come November 2012.
3‐course set lunch is priced at S$9.90 for a choice of chicken or beef pho.
The elaborate Flower Crab Noodle Soup priced S$13.90 is dexterously prepared with superior flower crab stock and served with minced pork, crab meat, and a deep fried soft shell crab.
The Mouse Tail Noodle Soup priced S$9.90 is a Vietnamese breakfast or supper staple and is a best seller at sister restaurant Annam Vietnamese Cuisine. Locals enjoy this bowl of peppery pork bone soup with pork leg, pork ribs and a dash of chilli and coriander to give it a unique flavour.
The Fish Cake & Tofu banh mi priced S$5.90, commonly found only in the north of Vietnam, is made with pan‐fried tofu marinated with lemongrass and chilli that leaves one's palate feeling light and refreshed.
The Caramelised 5‐Spice Pork Belly priced S$5.90, Pork Pate banh mi. Perfectly braised over 4 hours, the braised pork carries a subtle taste of the 5 spice and makes an ideal union with the freshly toasted baguettes.
