Increase of 3.6% of F&B chain sales in September, 2012. Yakiniku was strong because of the lingering summer heat in Japan.

Japan Food Service Association announces the F&B industry market trend as of September, 2012 as the accumulation of member companies. It is 3.6% increase of sales in the whole, 1.9% increase of number of outlets, and 4.2% increase of visitors, and 0.5% decrease of sales per customer. The hot day continued rather than the ordinary year, and there were one more holiday than the previous year. Saturday and Sunday at the beginning of the month ware following the last August 31, and so the whole number of visitors was added. Since it became the especially record lingering summer heat in north Japan, beer gardens, ice cream, etc. are good following the previous month. Yakiniku is 11.4% increase of sales because the increase of visitors and sales per customer. Yakiniku made a new appreciation of it being strong to heat. Dinner restaurants are 7.6% sales increase because of visitors' increase. Also noodles fast foods are 7.5% sales increase because of outlet number's increase.
